Assessment is defined as the number of sessions before the starting of the therapeutic programme, in which they are assessed the skills of the child. The purposes of assessment are clearly for development of the IEP ( Individual Eduacation Plan) and not for diagnosis. The duration of assessment depends on the skills of each child.
In Dentrospito we use the following assessment tools, based on the Applied Behaviour Analysis:
1. VB-MAPP ( Verbal Behaviour Milestones Assessment and Placement Programme)
2. AFLS ( The Assessment of Functional Living Skills)
3. ABBLS-R ( Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills)
4. Early Start Denver Model for young children with autism (ESDM)
We are able to conduct an analytic assessment of your child's skills and developmental stage according to the above assessment packages. The total assessment hours reach 10-12 hours (once per week for a period of 3 moths or according to the available apppointments).
